Black Jack is possibly one of the more popular games participated in, in casinos. Black jack is also known as "twenty one" or "pontoon." The game is a combination of luck and skills combined with choices. The game has evolved over a period of time. Players have specialized in specific abilities like "card card counting," with which they turn the edge in the game in their direction. The game has been in existence since the 18th century. References can be found in historical scriptures to a game known as "vingt-et-un," which in French means 21, and is deemed as the ancestor to blackjack.
The card game was initially not so popular in the united states of america. This led to the betting houses attempting different features like providing a bonus in case of a 10-to-1 pay out, if the blackjack player was dealt an ace of spades and a black jack. The jack could be either clubs or spades. Once the game got popular, the bonus pay out soon disappeared from the rules.
Any hand which achieves a sum of 21 is deemed a winner. The value should not go beyond twenty one, if it does the hand is said to be "bust." The goal of any player is to best the house. If both the player and the dealer have the identical score, it is called "push" (a tie), with neither the blackjack player or the croupier winning the hand.
